Hastings Entertainment To Host Midnight Release Parties For Star Wars: The Old Republic

AMARILLO, Texas, Dec. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Hastings Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAST), a leading multimedia entertainment superstore retailer, has announced its plans for chain-wide Midnight release parties for the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic. Fans are encouraged to join their local Hastings for a Midnight release party on Monday, December 19, 2011. Festivities for the night will begin at 9:00 P.M. local time and will end after the game goes on sale at Midnight.

Fans enjoying the festivities and awaiting the release of the game will be able to take advantage of special promotions during the release party including 30% off all used video games, video game accessories, books, and CDs. Customers are also encouraged to take advantage of an extended happy hour in Hardback Coffee Cafe stores and 49¢ fountain drinks in participating stores. Hardback Coffee Cafe stores will have a Darth Mocha drink available for purchase during the Midnight release party. Customers who purchase Star Wars: The Old Republic at the party will be eligible to receive a free video game rental coupon.
