United Bankshares, Inc. (NASDAQ: UBSI), today announced that it has been added to the S&P High Yield Dividends Aristocrats
Index, which measures the performance of the 60 highest dividend yielding S&P Composite 1500
Index constituents that have increased dividends every year for at least 25 consecutive years. United is one of only two major banking companies in the U.S. to have achieved such a record.

United has received recognition by others in 2011.
