Gleacher & Company Securities, Inc., a broker-dealer subsidiary of Gleacher & Company, Inc. (Nasdaq: GLCH), today announced that Brian Waltman, a veteran of rate products and fixed-income trading, has joined the firm as a Managing Director at the firm’s New York City headquarters. The addition of Mr. Waltman is aligned with the Company’s strategic plan to maximize the capabilities of its fixed-income business, and strengthen its talented workforce.

Prior to joining MF Global in April 2011, he served as Director of U.S. Government Sales at UBS Investment Bank. Before joining UBS, Mr. Waltman was Senior Vice President of New York Sales at HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. He began his career at Mabon Securities in New York, where he worked as an Institutional Fixed Income Account Executive. Mr. Waltman received his B.S. in Business Administration from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania, and his MBA in Investment and Portfolio Management from Pace University.
