Active Power Hires Noel Foley As Vice President Of Engineering

Active Power (NASDAQ: ACPW), manufacturer of critical backup power systems and continuous infrastructure solutions today announced it has hired Noel Foley as vice president of Engineering. Foley will lead the team of engineers and developers responsible for the design and implementation of the company’s uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and continuous power and infrastructure solutions.

Noel’s proven track record of developing innovative power solutions in domestic and international markets will be an important contributor to the company’s success.”

Foley brings a tremendous amount of hands on experience in design and engineering management, program management, and product development to Active Power. Most recently, Foley served as vice president of Engineering for SolarBridge Technologies, a provider of integrated microinverter technologies for the solar industry where he led the engineering organization to deliver on the introduction of a new product category in the solar technology market. He has also held leadership positions at Dell Computer and Lucent Technologies in the power supply and design areas. Foley holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from University College Cork in Ireland and a master’s in Business Administration from Boston College.
