Hampden Bancorp, Inc. Reports Completion Of 5% Stock Repurchase Program

Hampden Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) (NASDAQ: HBNK), which is the holding company for Hampden Bank (the “Bank”), announced today the completion of the Company’s fourth Stock Repurchase Program (the “Program”). The Program was approved by the Company’s Board of Directors on December 22, 2010. A total of 339,170 shares, or approximately 5% of the Company’s then outstanding common shares were purchased at a total cost to the Company of approximately $4,411,000, or an average of $13.01 per share.

Established in 1852, Hampden Bank is a full service community bank serving the families and businesses in and around Hampden County. The Bank has ten office locations in Springfield, Agawam, Longmeadow, West Springfield, Wilbraham, Tower Square in downtown Springfield, and Indian Orchard. Hampden Bank offers customers the latest in internet banking, including on-line banking and bill payment services.
