Stream Global Services Hosts Visit From Congressman Bill Owens At Watertown, New York Service Center

Stream Global Services, Inc. (NYSE/AMEX: SGS) today announced that its Watertown, New York service center hosted a visit from Congressman Bill Owens, representative from New York’s 23rd Congressional District. A champion of economic development in the Upstate region, Congressman Owens saw firsthand the operations of Stream, which is the second largest private employer in the Tri-county area. In addition to learning about Stream’s business, the Congressman discussed ways in which the government might encourage the creation of additional jobs in the Watertown area with the company’s management team.

“The creation of jobs is the number one issue for our district, and I believe it is the role of government to do everything possible to help get the people of Upstate New York back to work as quickly as possible,” explained Congressman Owens. “Stream Global Services is a clear example of how a partnership between government and private enterprise can generate employment opportunities right here in New York and across the US,” Owens went on to explain.

“I would like to thank Congressman Owens for visiting our Watertown service center and offering us his support,” responded Stream Chief Marketing Officer Jeff Frank. “We had a very constructive meeting about future employment opportunities for his constituents, and the types of skills and competencies required of potential Stream employees,” he concluded.

Stream currently employs approximately 400 professionals who support multiple clients from its site at 146 Arsenal Street in Watertown, and is continuing to hire skilled employees as business permits. Stream has been located in Watertown for almost nine years. Stream’s competitive advantage in Watertown is its dynamic workforce drawn from the skilled local population. Stream employs several thousand professionals at nine service centers in the U.S., which are located in cities across the country.
