Mythics Consulting Awarded Contract With The City Of Virginia Beach To Upgrade Oracle E-Business Suite

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Oct. 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Mythics, an elite Oracle Platinum value-added resale (VAR) product and training partner, an Oracle GSA Schedule holder GS-35-F-0153M and an award winning Oracle Platinum Specialized Consulting partner, today announced that it has been awarded a contract by the City of Virginia Beach to provide comprehensive architecture, implementation, consulting and operational support services to upgrade Virginia Beach's Oracle E-Business Suite to Release version 12.1.  The new functionality will increase productivity and helps reduce costs across City business functions.

The City of Virginia Beach is the most populous city in Virginia and the 39th largest city in the United States, with approximately 438,000 residents.  The City encompasses 307 square miles including 248 land square miles, 59 square miles of water and 35 square miles of beaches.    Under the contract, the Mythics team will support the City in areas including Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1 strategic and organizational planning, software installation and integration, development, testing and a production launch of the upgraded system.  

The City and Public School Oracle E-Business Suite modules being upgraded include:

• Human Resources & Benefits
• Payroll
• Financials:  General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Cash Management & Fixed Assets
