Innovative Solutions & Support, Inc. (NASDAQ:ISSC) announced today that the Company has been selected by Eclipse Aerospace to provide an advanced avionics suite for the production model Eclipse 550. Under this agreement, the Company will be the supplier of Primary Flight and Multi-Function Displays as well as the Integrated Flight Management (IFMS) and Electronic Flight Bag System. The advanced avionics suite will include dual flight management systems, auto throttles, synthetic vision and enhanced vision (FLIR).

The selection of Innovative Solutions and Support follows the announcement (
) at the NBAA show in Las Vegas of the resumption of production of the E550 business jet by Eclipse Aerospace and its partner, Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. (a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp.). Eclipse Aerospace expects to produce aircraft with deliveries beginning in 2013.
Innovative Solutions and Support expects this multi-year agreement to generate revenues in excess of $25 million in addition to the revenues from the ongoing retrofit upgrades of the existing Eclipse fleet of some 260 aircraft.
The Eclipse 550 will be a technologically advanced, twin-engine jet aircraft with a design that utilizes the same airframe and power plant as the popular EA-500 model, but includes significant innovations in most aircraft systems designed to improve overall operations, direct operating costs, technology, comfort and performance.
