Zeta Communities Builds Energy-efficient Room

San Francisco-based Zeta Communities, which has a 91,000-square-foot home-building factory at McClellan Business Park in Sacramento, announced the opening of an energy-efficient weight room building at Will Rogers Middle School in Sacramento.

Zeta and VUMA of San Jose, which designs and develops state-of-the-art, high performance buildings, partnered on the project.

Zeta builds its products to 90 percent completion at its fabrication facility at McClellan. The buildings can reduce energy bills through high performing insulation, solar energy and the use of natural daylight.

The Will Rogers weight room includes a 4.5-megawatt solar system and automated lighting controls that reduce the building’s energy consumption by 20 percent.
