Conseco Capital Management Equity Investment Chief Resigns

Conseco(CNC Quote) said Thomas Pence, the senior vice president and chief equity investment officer at Conseco Capital Management, unexpectedly resigned.

Pence joined Conseco Capital Management in 1991. Initially part of the fixed-income department, he became responsible for building the firm's equity investment team.

The company said his duties will be assumed by senior securities analysts Erik Voss and Paul Berg, and called the manner of Pence's departure "very disappointing."
