Pacer Announces New Intermodal Services To And From Chihuahua, Mexico

Pacer International, Inc. (NASDAQ: PACR), the North American freight transportation and global logistics services provider, announced today the expansion of its Mexico Direct (Intermodal/Double Stack) service between Chihuahua, Mexico and key markets within the U.S. and Canada. The service, which began operations on August 29, 2011, will operate five days per week to and from the Chihuahua market. The service utilizes Ferromex and Union Pacific networks.

Pacer will support the new service by providing equipment from a fleet of more than 18,500 high cube intermodal containers and a newly established chassis pool located at the Ferromex rail ramp in Chihuahua. This service has been established to help customers, within 150 miles of the Chihuahua ramp, deliver their goods smoother. Pacer provides integrated intermodal door service with its extensive Pacer Cartage and core carrier drayage network throughout North America. Pacer's bi-lingual staff, located in Mexico and U.S.-Mexico border offices, has been serving customers in the Mexican trade for more than 20 years.
