Gateway Easily Backs Estimates; Lifts PCs Higher
PC maker Gateway (GTW Quote) posted third-quarter earnings of 46 cents per share, meeting the First Call/Thomson Financial forecast and beating the year-ago 35-cent result.
The company said revenue growth of 20% to 21% is possible next year and indicated it is comfortable with analysts' earnings estimates of $2.29 per share for 2001.
