SunLink Health Systems Promotes Jesus Ruiz To Assistant Vice President Of Reimbursement And Chief Compliance Officer

SunLink Health Systems, Inc. (NYSE AMEX: SSY) is pleased to announce that Jesus F. Ruiz has been promoted to the position as Assistant Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer of SunLink Heath Systems, Inc. Mr. Ruiz joined SunLink in August 2001 as Director of Reimbursement and has excelled in his responsibilities to his most recent position as Director of Reimbursement and Compliance. He has been instrumental in SunLink meeting its compliance and reimbursement objectives, representing the company with state hospital associations and he has been exceptionally involved in formulating Medicaid policy with the State of Georgia. Most recently, Mr. Ruiz coordinated SunLink’s six hospitals meeting the “Meaningful Use” for stage One criteria standards of the Medicare Electronic Health records incentive programs used in developing the national electronic health records. Mr. Ruiz is a licensed CPA with a Bachelor and Master’s degree in accountancy from Southern Utah University.
