Sonora Resources Completes Promising Geophysics Program At Los Amoles Silver Prospect

Sonora Resources Corp. (OTCBB: SURE) (“Sonora Resources” or the “Company”) is pleased to report the completion of the previously announced geophysics program at the Los Amoles Property located in the central Sonora State of Mexico where historic data and work results indicate the area as prospective for epithermal Silver-Gold deposits of interest.

The recent geophysics program consisted of both IP and Magnetic susceptibility covering a nine (9) square kilometer area with 28 line kilometers of grid. Initial results appear encouraging with final results and a report expected within approximately two weeks.

Additionally, 124 rock samples were taken from historic workings, mineralized dumps and outcrops. Samples have been submitted to Inspectorate Labs’ preparation facility in Hermosillo and results are expected in approximately three weeks.

The early stage 16.3 square kilometer Los Amoles Property is located approximately 150 kilometers northeast of Hermosillo and is 10 kilometers northeast of Grupo Mexico’s La Caridad Mine, a facility acknowledged as one of the largest mining and processing complexes in Mexico.

Sonora Resources holds an option to earn a 70% interest in the property, and efforts to date have concentrated on an area located on the southeastern edge of a 4.0 by 2.75 km regional magnetic anomaly. Data interpretation indicates this target area represents silver-lead +/- gold veins distal to a porphyry system. The potential for this regional anomaly to reflect buried porphyry has yet to be tested but is promising. Many of the region’s most significant porphyry deposits are located within 70 km of the Los Amoles property.

Previous mapping defined a vein system traced on surface for approximately 800 meters along strike. Highlights of previous sampling include 2.0 meters grading 0.63 g/t gold and 698.6 g/t silver, 6.0 meters averaging 0.33 g/t gold and 226.6 g/t silver (including 2.0 meters grading 0.63 g/t gold and 497.3 g/t silver), 1.0 meters grading 0.33 g/t gold and 496.8 g/t silver and dump material grading 0.24 g/t gold and 1,027.5 g/t silver.
