Global Industrial Canada, a subsidiary of Systemax Inc. (NYSE: SYX),
announced that its recently launched B2B web site for Canadian customers at
now offers more than 325,000 industrial products ranging from industrial fasteners to material handling equipment to plumbing supplies.
The e-Commerce site is modeled off of the successful Global Industrial (
) site in the United States, offering essentially the same SKU count and features that were designed to make the online shopping experience as efficient as possible. The site is user-friendly and transparent for Canadian customers, offering all products in Canadian currency, quoting freight charges to Canada and providing liaison services between customers and customs.
The 325,000 products offered on both the U.S. and Canada sites, a 70,000 SKU increase from January 2011, are within numerous product categories, such as material handling equipment, office furniture and supplies, maintenance and packing supplies, electrical and janitorial products, and a broad selection of storage and shelving solutions. Most recently, the motors, plumbing, tools and food services categories were expanded. A fasteners line, including screws, bolts and nuts, is the newest product category and was added in February 2011. As new product categories and SKUs are added, they will be available on both the U.S. and Canadian sites.
