Preferred Apartment Communities, Inc. Announces Filing Of First Quarterly Report

ATLANTA, May 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Preferred Apartment Communities, Inc. ("PAC") (AMEX: APTS), a Maryland corporation, today announced that it filed its first quarterly report pursuant to the Securities and Exchange Act of 1934 on Form 10Q on May 16, 2011 for the quarterly period ended March 31, 2011.  A copy of this quarterly report is accessible on the Securities and Exchange Commission's website at www.sec.gov.  PAC closed its initial public offering of shares of its common stock on April 5, 2011.
