CommerceWest Bank (OTCBB:CWBK) proudly sponsored the Orange County Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) annual awards night. The event honored a select group of local companies that demonstrated outstanding growth and leadership in their industries. The awards included The Founders Award, The Emerging Growth Award, The Global Award, The Spotlight Deal of the Year Award, The Corporate Responsibility Award, The Green Award and The Private Equity Performers Award. ACG is a networking group that assists in creating business relationships within the local community. They look to build not only relationships but to also create opportunities, grow businesses and expand business knowledge.
Ivo Tjan Chairman and CEO of CommerceWest Bank stated, “As a bank, we have a goal that is similar to the Association for Corporate Growth, which was why we wanted to be so involved with this event. We look to help create opportunities for local businesses so they may grow. The Banks mission in 2011 has been to help businesses grow by providing exceptional cash management tools and creating lending opportunities by deploying the Bank’s capital. I wanted to take a moment to personally congratulate all of the nominees and the award winners from the evening,” Tjan continued to state, “For the Bank, a defining moment of the evening was the presentation of the Social Responsibility Award to Wahoo’s Fish Taco. Wahoo’s has been a much appreciated client of the Bank for many years. The award was reflective of the ethical commitment that Wing Lam, Co-Founder of Wahoo’s, has made to better our community. Wahoo’s is an eclectic Mexican/Brazilian/Asian restaurant serving fish tacos in over 70 restaurants. Wing Lam commented, “CommerceWest Bank is a great partner in business and a proud supporter of ACG. It is nice to have a personal relationship with a bank that actually helps you grow your business and is involved in the community. I love the fact that they provide great online banking for speed and still answer the phone when I call.”
