GAHANNA, Ohio, April 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Tiney M. McComb, Chairman and CEO of Heartland BancCorp announced at the Annual Shareholders Meeting that William (Bill) A. Dodson Jr. was elected to the Board of Heartland BancCorp. Mr. Dodson was elected in March to the Heartland Bank Board.

Mr. Dodson is a resident of Columbus, Ohio and is Executive Vice President and Director of Community Relations for Rhema Christian Center. He is also Executive Director for the Dayspring Christian Community Development Corporation, established by the church, to address the need for affordable housing, employment, literacy and economic development. Mr. Dodson graduated from Marshall University, majoring in Sociology and Social Welfare and received his Master of Arts in Public Administration from The Ohio State University. Mr. Dodson has extensive public service experience and has given extensive volunteer service to many non-profit boards. Mr. Dodson has received mayoral appointments to the Columbus Cable Advisory Commission and Community Relations Commission and has served on various community councils. Mr. Dodson has served on the Bank's Advisory Board.
