White iPhone, Microsoft Windows 7 High
NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Apple (AAPL) is reportedly launching the white iPhone on Wednesday, according to MacRumors. The phone has been delayed for months; as TheStreet reported in July, the reason for the delay is an issue with the paint that causes light to leak into the camera, distorting photos taken with the flash.
Shares of Apple rose 0.04% in pre-market trading Monday to $350.85.
Microsoft (MSFT) has sold 350 million licenses for Windows 7, 18 months after releasing the operating system, the company said in a blog post Friday. About 90% of businesses are in progress with their Windows 7 migrations, Microsoft said, citing research firm IDC.
Shares of Microsoft rose 0.2% in pre-market trading Monday to $25.58.
Daily deals company Groupon has recently hired a Google (GOOG) executive to serve as its chief operating officer, the company said over the weekend. Margo Georgiadis was Google's vice president of global sales operations. She will now report to Groupon's founder and CEO Andrew Mason. Sales of Google fell 0.02% in pre-market trading Monday. Location-based service Foursquare is looking at raising a new funding round that would value the New York-based start-up at more than $500 million, according to the Wall Street Journal.
