DTS, Inc. (Nasdaq: DTSI) (Booth #SU745), a leader in high-definition audio, will premiere its new sound signature, created with Neo:X 11.1 surround sound technology at this year’s NAB show, April 11-14 in Las Vegas. Produced by leading sound designer Diego Stocco, the DTS audio mark will be presented to NAB show-goers at the Intel Storage Solutions Theater (Booth #SU823), where daily at 11:00 a.m., Diego will be exhibiting a behind-the-scenes demonstration of how the signature was created.

“DTS technology takes audio to exciting new places, engaging listeners’ emotions and elevating their experiences,” said Stocco. “With this new signature, I harvested sounds from seemingly random household objects like milk, lentils and water balloons and transformed them into sonically powerful instruments. The result is a distinct sound signature that undoubtedly showcases the power of great audio and truly encapsulates the essence of the DTS brand.”

“At DTS, we’re committed to developing superior sound technologies that make life experiences more emotional and enjoyable for consumers. Diego’s incredible ability to create sounds from entirely unexpected organic materials is simply stunning and representative of the immersive and high-quality audio DTS stands for,” noted Alan Cohen, vice president of marketing at DTS, Inc.

"The Intel Storage Solutions Theater offers NAB attendees the opportunity to experience the benefits of our processors first-hand," said David Tuhy, general manager at Intel Corporation. "The DTS demonstration uses dozens of discrete tracks which tax a computer’s processor. We’re delighted to have DTS on hand to illustrate how Intel’s energy efficient performance and data protection technologies thrive in this environment, giving us the ability to serve the world’s most demanding and data-intensive storage environments.”

At the Intel Storage Solutions Theater, DTS will also be demonstrating its Neo:X technology, the world’s first 11.1 surround system, and the next-generation of immersive 3D entertainment for home theater enthusiasts and industry audio professionals. Neo:X provides a semi-spherical sound field using an 11.1 speaker configuration adding height/wide speakers to create a natural, immersive, spacious and lifelike 3D surround soundscape. NAB visitors can experience DTS Neo:X 11.1 every day at 12:30 p.m. at the Intel Storage Solutions Theatre located at booth #SU823.
