WyoTech And Everest Partner With Pep Boys To Place Graduates

SANTA ANA, Calif., March 24, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Corinthian Colleges, Inc. (CCi) (Nasdaq:COCO), parent company of WyoTech, Everest Colleges, Everest Institutes and Everest Universities, today announced that it has signed a national affiliation agreement with The Pep Boys — Manny Moe & Jack (NYSE:PBY), the nation's leading automotive aftermarket service and retail chain.

Under the agreement, Pep Boys will promote awareness of its job placement opportunities to WyoTech automotive graduates. Pep Boys and Corinthian have plans to expand the recruiting relationship to Everest Universities. In addition, Pep Boys is working to partner with the WyoTech campuses to provide proceeds from auto parts and equipment sales to establish student scholarships.

"With opportunities available in automotive repair and maintenance, retail sales, store management and more, Pep Boys is an ideal employer partner for both WyoTech and Everest," said Wendy Cullen, CCi's Vice President of Employer Development.  "Pep Boys provides excellent career opportunities and is committed to promoting students' professional development.  We are proud of this alliance and the implicit recognition of the education offered at our schools."

"WyoTech and Everest have well-earned reputations for producing both professional and skilled graduates," said Toby Schafer, SPHR, Pep Boys' divisional Human Resources manager. "We look forward to a mutually rewarding relationship and building the teams at Pep Boys with talented individuals who have graduated from these institutions."

According to Cullen, similar partnerships and strategic alliances will be added to CCi's portfolio in the future. "We are well-positioned to partner on a national level. Over the past few years we have standardized our curriculum and policies and are poised to leverage our size and scope to the advantage of our students, business partners and company."
