OneShield Symposium Provides Industry Information About Rule Design, Optimizing Workflow And Integration Requirements

NEW ORLEANS, LA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/22/11 -- OneShield, Inc., the developer of OneShield Dragon®, an innovatively modern, rules- and tools-based, data-driven policy management suite for the property/casualty insurance market, concluded its third annual user group meeting today at the Westin Canal Place in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The event, Synergy 2011, drew insurance company professionals from OneShield client companies, including Capitol Insurance Company, The Dominion of Canada, Erie Insurance Company, The Hanover, Main Street America, North Light Specialty Insurance Company and Privilege Underwriters Reciprocal Exchange (PURE). The event theme, "Building Strong Foundations," was enhanced by sessions providing insight on best practices for rule design, optimizing workflow, integration requirements and extending the functionality of the Dragon platform.

Stuart Tainsky, SVP and chief information officer for PURE, was a featured speaker at Synergy 2011. His presentation explained how PURE has configured the Dragon application to deliver policies and bills to his company's member insureds electronically. This initiative has significantly improved PURE's "ease-of-doing business" rating with agents and has also contributed to their impressive customer retention rate of more than 90 percent.

Further, attendees had the opportunity to participate in a community service project the Saturday prior to the event kick-off. OneShield representatives and clients volunteered with Green Light New Orleans. Together, they installed energy efficient bulbs in homes to save more than 37,000 kWh of electricity which equates to approximately $4,500 in household utility costs and 43,000 lbs of CO2.
