DENTSPLY International Names Derek Leckow As Vice President Investor Relations

YORK, Pa., March 14, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- DENTSPLY International Inc. (Nasdaq:XRAY) announced today that Derek Leckow joins the Company as Vice President, Investor Relations. Mr. Leckow brings to DENTSPLY a solid understanding of financial markets and drivers of shareholder value, particularly as it relates to the Dental and Medical Device industries.

As Vice President, Investor Relations for DENTSPLY, Mr. Leckow will manage the relationships and communications with investors, analysts, and other key external stakeholders. He will serve as the Company partner and liaison to the financial investment community.

Mr. Leckow has built a solid reputation as a trusted resource among buy-side institutional investors. He comes to DENTSPLY from Barrington Research Associates, Inc., where he served as Vice President, Senior Investment Analyst. Earlier in his career, Mr. Leckow practiced as an attorney for Lavin & Waldon, P.C. 

Mr. Leckow earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Chicago-Kent College of Law and his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University.
