XOMA Announces Presentations At Upcoming Investor Conferences

BERKELEY, Calif., March 1, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- XOMA Ltd. (Nasdaq:XOMA), a leader in the discovery and development of therapeutic antibodies, announced that company management will present at the following March conferences:
Live webcasts of each presentation will be available via the Investors tab at the XOMA website, www.xoma.com . Archived versions of the webcasts will be available on the XOMA website for 30 days following each presentation. - RBC Capital Markets Healthcare Conference, March 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern time. Steven B. Engle, XOMA Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, will participate on a panel, "Antibody Therapeutics," chaired by Jason Kantor, Ph.D., Managing Director of RBC Capital Markets.
- Cowen & Company 31 st Annual Healthcare Conference, March 9, 2011 at 8:45 a.m. Eastern time. Fred Kurland, XOMA Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will present a company overview.
- Roth Capital Partners Orange County Growth Stock Conference, March 15, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. Pacific time. Mr. Kurland will present a company overview.
- XOMA 052, a potent anti-IL-1 beta antibody entering Phase 3 clinical development in Behcet's uveitis, for which it has been designated an orphan drug, and in Phase 2 clinical development for Type 2 diabetes with cardiovascular biomarkers, Type 1 diabetes, and with potential for the treatment of a wide range of inflammatory conditions. XOMA is developing XOMA 052 in collaboration with Les Laboratoires Servier.
