WASHINGTON, Feb. 24, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Convergent Wealth Advisors today announced that Barron's has named four Convergent advisors to its annual state-by-state ranking of the top 1,000 financial advisors in the nation, including to the top two spots in Maryland. This list includes advisors from both independent advisory firms and large wirehouses.

Dave Zier, executive vice president, and George Dunn, executive director, were honored as the #1 and #2 advisors in Maryland, respectively.  Steve Lockshin, Convergent's founder and CEO, was ranked #3 in California, and Lori Van Dusen, executive director, was ranked #34 in New York.
