Foxwoods Resort Casino Extends Agreement With TransAct Technologies Incorporated

MASHANTUCKET, Conn., Feb. 15, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Foxwoods Resort Casino and MGM Grand at Foxwoods today announced an extended agreement with Hamden, CT based TransAct Technologies Incorporated (Nasdaq:TACT), a global leader in market-specific printers for transaction-based industries, to install the EPICENTRAL™ Print System in slot machines throughout the MGM Grand at Foxwoods. This expansion calls for an increase in the installation of the EPICENTRAL ^TM system from 300 slot machines to all 1,100 machines at MGM Grand at Foxwoods.

The new EPICENTRAL™ Print System – connected directly to TransAct's ServerPort™ device inside the slot machine – is an easy-to-use, cost-efficient software system that will enable Foxwoods to internally develop marketing programs and promotional coupons to be distributed to customers on a real-time basis at a slot machine. Additionally, the system will work with all existing slot systems and games as it is separate and distinct from the slot system itself. With this, Foxwoods will be able to use the EPICENTRAL™ Print System to connect to any existing slot machine, regardless of the game's manufacturer or the current slot system, as long as the slot machine is equipped with a TransAct Epic 950® printer.
