LAS VEGAS, Feb. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- First Liberty Power Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: FLPC) www.firstlibertypower.com is pleased to announce the commencement of the electromagnetic geophysical exploration program on its Esmeralda County, Nevada, Lida Valley Lithium property.
The CSAMT/MT electromagnetic surveying ("EM Survey") began on February 5th, 2011, as planned, at several initial survey locations previously sited by Hasbrouck Geophysics. The locations all lie within the area of the main gravity anomalies identified during the gravity survey of Lida Valley, completed in the summer of 2010.
Once all the data from the EM Survey has been fully interpreted, First Liberty Power, with the assistance of Hasbrouck Geophysics and GeoXplor, will be able to create a detailed drilling program utilizing data from both the previous Gravity Survey and the current EM Survey, in order to identify the areas most likely to hold the highest concentrations of Lithium rich brine.
Don Nicholson, President and CEO, commented "The team from GeoXplor and Hasbrouck Geophysics working on the Property have already collected data from over 50% of the survey stations, and Hasbrouck Geophysics is already performing preliminary interpretation of the data. I am very pleased that we have been able to advance the exploration of the Property to this stage, and I am anxious to see the final results from the EM Survey."About Us First Liberty Power Corp. is a Nevada based mineral exploration company with a primary focus on lithium exploration and development in the United States.
