Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Enhances Corporate Management Team

MELVILLE, N.Y., Feb. 10, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq:CMTL) announced today that Robert G. Rouse has rejoined the Company in a newly created position as Senior Vice President, Strategy and M&A. Mr. Rouse was previously the Company's Chief Operating Officer from March 2006 through August 2008 and served as its Chief Financial Officer from July 2001 through March 2006. Comtech also announced that Jerome Kapelus, most recently Senior Vice President, Strategy and Business Development, has been appointed Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, and will focus his efforts on internal corporate development activities, including facilitating company-wide product and marketing synergies. In announcing these changes, Fred Kornberg, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Comtech Telecommunications Corp., said, "Our focus on mergers and acquisitions has never been greater, and I believe these changes will allow us to continue our strong efforts in this area, as well as further capitalize on opportunities in our existing businesses."
