High School Sports Fans Can Help Local Sports Programs Win $10,000 Through Frito-Lay Promotion
PLANO, Texas, Feb. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- PepsiCo's Frito-Lay North America business unit today is asking high school sports fans in 31 states to "Score for Your School" and help local high schools win a donation for their sports programs. Schools collect one point for each Frito-Lay snack a fan purchases and then registers on the website, www.scoreforyourschool.com. At the end of the 2011 spring sports promotion, Frito-Lay will donate more than $250,000 in prizes to high school sports programs across the U.S.
"High school sports programs face many challenges, and the 'Score for Your School' promotion gives fans a simple way to help," said Marissa Solis, marketing director, Frito-Lay North America. "Now each purchase of Frito-Lay snacks can add up to give a school a chance to win up to $10,000." The "Score for Your School" program begins today and runs through May 31, 2011. Fans 13 years of age and older can visit www.scoreforyourschool.com, enter the 9-digit product code found immediately below the "Guaranteed Fresh" date on ANY Frito-Lay product (chips, dips, salsa and more) and then select the high school of their choice. First-place prizes of $10,000 will be awarded to the top school in each state and/or region that collects the most points from their fans. Second and third place prizes also will be awarded in varying amounts as described on the website. The "Score for Your School" promotion is expanding across the country after a successful run in Texas last fall. For more information, including free alternate method of entry, and to find out if your state is one of the 31 participating this spring, visit www.scoreforyourschool.com.
