ACE Cash Express And NetSpend Support National Breast Cancer Foundation With $522,643 Donation
DALLAS, Jan. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- ACE Cash Express, Inc., a leading retailer of financial services, and NetSpend Holdings, Inc, (Nasdaq: NTSP) a leading provider of general-purpose reloadable prepaid debit cards, announced a donation of $522,643 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation in support of its mission — saving lives through early detection and providing mammograms to those in need.
This donation was made possible by the hundreds of ACE customers who have chosen the Pink NetSpend card to make purchases. Every time one of these cards is used a percentage of the transaction goes to National Breast Cancer Foundation. In 2010, that came to $522,643.
"ACE Cash Express is proud to partner with the National Breast Cancer Foundation and contribute to the fight against breast cancer," said ACE President and CEO Jay Shipowitz. "By providing this card to our customers, we are not only offering them a better way to manage their money, but we are also supporting an organization that is important to our associates and our customers."
"The Pink Card is a fantastic way consumers can show their support for breast cancer research through their everyday purchases," said Dan Henry, chief executive officer at NetSpend. "All of us at NetSpend are immensely proud that our product not only provides much-needed funds to the NBCF, but also that it simplifies the financial lives of our cardholders as well.""We are proud to partner with ACE Cash Express and NetSpend through their Pink prepaid debit card," said Janelle Hail, founder and CEO of National Breast Cancer Foundation.
