Small Businesses Exceptionally Satisfied With First Tennessee Banking Services

MEMPHIS, Tenn., Jan. 24, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- First Tennessee Bank was recognized for customer satisfaction in the 2010 Greenwich Excellence Awards for small business banking. First Tennessee received awards in 10 of the 13 categories and ranked in the top 1 percent of the 750 banks surveyed for customer satisfaction in the small business banking segment. First Tennessee is part of the First Horizon National Corp. (NYSE:FHN) family of companies.

Greenwich Associates releases national small business banking excellence awards in more than 10 categories covering overall banking and treasury management. In addition, Greenwich Associates recognizes excellence in four regional segments in both the overall banking and treasury management categories. First Tennessee was an overall banking satisfaction winner and an overall satisfaction treasury management winner in both the national and regional categories.

"These awards reflect our success in building strong relationships with our customers," said Chip Higgins, executive for First Tennessee business banking. "Our employees go the extra mile to understand our customers and their diverse financial needs, and this recognition from Greenwich Associates confirms our customers value the level of customer service we provide."

Winners were determined by more than 750 banks' performance in Greenwich Associates' annual U.S. Small Business Banking Research Study, where decision-makers from more than 14,000 businesses with sales of $1 million - $10 million rated banks in banking and treasury management categories.

Earlier this month, First Tennessee received honors in both the national and regional categories for treasury management in the 2010 Greenwich Excellence Awards for U.S. middle market banking.
