Creator of H2RMinutes announces its Synergy Suite of communication support services, featuring new vehicle for ACO regulatory, provider news and innovator content

WASHINGTON, Jan. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Health2 Resources announced today free access to its newsbrief and web portal, H2RMinutes: Accountable Care, a one-stop source for news about the emerging accountable care landscape. The Washington, DC-area consulting firm also announced its new Synergy Suite of communication support services to help clients meet the demands of an internet-savvy population.

H2RMinutes: Accountable Care ( http://h2rminutesaccountablecare.com) is designed to keep health care policymakers, insurers, providers, employers and thought leaders informed about legal, regulatory and marketplace changes that will have an impact on new models of care delivery (such as accountable care organizations) that are scheduled to launch this year under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Rapid changes in health care service delivery are centered on a system that both improves patient outcomes and lowers costs. New models such as advanced primary care, the medical home and accountable care organizations (ACOs) will figure prominently over the coming months in regulatory matters, as will improvements in access and care coordination, use of health information technology and payment reform. ACOs are provider- or insurance-based entities that are accountable for both quality and costs of care for a defined population.

The announcement comes 18 months after Health2 Resources launched its successful newsbrief and portal, H2RMinutes, which provides weekly news and information about the patient-centered medical home to more than 20,000 readers. The bi-weekly H2RMinutes: Accountable Care vehicle will enable readers to quickly scan headlines and link to articles and resources. Founding sponsors of H2RMinutes: Accountable Care are the eHealth Initiative, Commission for Case Manager Certification and SNAPforSeniors.

The newsbriefs are one element of Health2 Resources' synergistic suite of communication support services; this suite opens multiple channels for information to reach a targeted audience. The company is also introducing its Sites.Health2Resources.com intuitive site-building capability ( http://sites.health2resources.com). The Synergy Suite emphasizes an integrated approach to a range of web-enabled communication tools including subject-matter specific newsbriefs, general website production or websites for special events and programs, webinar production, podcasts and virtual meetings.

"Health care reform is creating myriad opportunities and revealing many innovative solutions. We want to track the changes, opportunities and obstacles and share that intelligence with health care decision makers," said Katherine H. Capps, president of Health2 Resources. "Readers can scan the bullet points or delve more deeply into the articles linked to the portal to stay informed."
