Rosetta Resources Inc. Promotes Operational Leadership

HOUSTON, Jan. 10, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Rosetta Resources Inc. (Nasdaq:ROSE) ("Rosetta" or the "Company") today announced the promotions of James E. Craddock to senior vice president, drilling and production operations, and John D. Clayton to senior vice president, asset development.

"These promotions recognize the substantial contributions that Jim and John have made over the last two years to Rosetta Resources and the success of the operations functions they lead," said Randy Limbacher, chairman, chief executive officer and president. "During this period, Rosetta has evolved into an unconventional resources player with a highly competitive position in one of the most active shale plays in the United States. We are positioned for significant future growth in production and reserves with a drilling inventory weighted more toward liquids."

Craddock joined Rosetta in 2008 as vice president, drilling and production operations. Previously, he was chief operating officer for BPI Energy, Inc., a start-up energy company focused on coal bed methane development, and chief engineer of Burlington Resources. He spent 25 years with Burlington and its predecessor companies in a broad range of technical, operational and strategic roles with increasing levels of responsibility. Craddock holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University.

Clayton was named vice president, asset development for Rosetta in 2008. Formerly, he was with ConocoPhillips where he managed U.S. business development activities in the lower 48 states. He began his career with Burlington Resources in 1986 and rose to the position of director of worldwide acquisitions and divestitures. He held various leadership positions in asset management, reservoir, drilling and production engineering. Clayton graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering from Louisiana State University.
