As part of the collaboration, RoxioNow will be integrated into HDTV and Blu-ray Disc player chipsets and DivX Plus HD Certification will be incorporated on Blu-ray Disc player system-on-a-chip (SoCs) for playback of DivX MKV video files in 1080p. Both Marvell and Sonic will be demonstrating these solutions at CES 2011.
With built-in RoxioNow capabilities, consumers of Marvell-based HDTVs and Blu-ray Disc players can enjoy instant access to a wide array of premium entertainment offerings streamed directly to their sets over the Internet, including new-release movies and hit TV shows.
DivX Plus HD Certification ensures that Blu-ray Disc players with the Marvell® ARMADA™ 1000 System-on-a-Chip (SoC) provide playback of DivX Plus HD H.264 video in a .mkv file container using the USB slot, via any optical disc, or streaming from the home network for easy viewing in the living room. In addition, DivX Plus HD also powers special DVD-like features, including automated chapter points, enhanced trick play, and multiple video, audio, and sub-title tracks.
