Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Wins $1.7 Million Order For High-Power Solid-State Amplifiers For Satellite Communication Terminals

MELVILLE, N.Y., Jan. 5, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq:CMTL) announced today that its Santa Clara, California-based subsidiary, Comtech Xicom Technology, Inc., received a $1.7M order for outdoor solid-state power amplifiers (SSPAs) to be used in transportable fly-away satellite terminals for government satellite communications applications.

The award is for amplifiers of various power levels that operate in C-band, X-band or Ku-band. The terminals are expected to provide in-theater global satellite communications connectivity for the U.S. armed forces.
