IOGEAR Selects Cavium’s PureVu™ Processors For Its Next Generation Of Retail Multimedia Home Streaming Devices

Cavium Networks (NASDAQ: CAVM), a leading provider of semiconductor products that enable intelligent processing for networking, communications and the digital home, today announced that IOGEAR Corporation has selected the PureVu ^TM CNW5xxx video processors for its next generation retail multimedia streaming devices. Following the successful introduction of its CNW3xxx-based product line in early 2010, IOGEAR is extending its partnership with Cavium to leverage all the benefits of the new CNW5xxx SoC (System-on-a-Chip) family, including higher performance for up to 1080p 3D processing, improved multi-room video quality of service (QoS), and back-channel support for a higher degree of interactivity.
