TEL AVIV, Israel, Dec. 14, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --
Top Image Systems, Ltd. (Nasdaq:TISA) (TASE:TISA), the leading ECM (Enterprise Content Management) innovator of intelligent document recognition has been chosen to process the documents for the Czech Republic census. TIS'
eFLOW will process 16 million documents within a five-month period.
On this project, TIS will work in partnership with scanservice, a leading provider of automated input, processing, operating and management of documents and data, based in Central Europe. TIS and scanservice have a long history of working together, including working on census projects, such as the 2001 census for the Slovak Republic.
Renata Telinova, President of scanservice explains, "We have worked successfully with TIS for many years. TIS'
eFLOW is a superior technology which we rate for its high recognition rates, speed of processing, stability, and open architecture."
TIS underwent a stringent selection process, given the importance of the project for the Czech Republic. The system that would be chosen had to be capable of processing a huge amount of documents in a very short time. During extensive testing and benchmarking, TIS'
eFLOW proved capable of delivering the desired results, in the specified time and to the highest level of accuracy.
Over the last decade, TIS has gained vast experience in worldwide census projects, including in India, Brazil, Ireland, South Africa, Italy, Belarus and Vietnam. Last month the company announced it has been awarded the census in Thailand. TIS' extensive knowledge in this specific area has put the company front and center as the partner of choice for census programs, including in countries where TIS has been reselected for the second or third census.
Omri Gelb, Executive VP at TIS, commented, "This is a very important project and we are pleased that TIS, in conjunction with our partner scanservice, has been chosen by the Czech Republic to process their census documents. We have demonstrated once again that
eFLOW is a leading technology in the census industry. We are pleased that our long time partnership with scanservice and the reputation we have of working successfully on census projects around the world allowed us to acquire another important census project."
