Led by the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) in conjunction with the U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council and the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates Trade and Commercial Office, this highly specialized and exclusive defense industry trade delegation enabled companies to acquire critical information for establishing business in the UAE and become a part of an over $270 billion economy.
Dr. Joseph Leonelli, AST’s Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, was selected as one of 50 delegates to represent U.S. aerospace, defense, and IT security/infrastructure companies on the trade mission.
According to the U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council, over the next five years the UAE is expected to significantly increase the level of its defense and aerospace procurements and investments, as well as greatly expand the level of spending in homeland security and critical national infrastructure related services and capabilities.
