NEW YORK, Oct. 12, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Globe Specialty Metals, Inc. (Nasdaq:GSM) ("Globe") today filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission an amendment to its shelf registration statement to incorporate its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended June 30, 2010. This registration statement was originally declared effective on May 28, 2010 and allowed certain holders of Globe shares that were originally listed on the London Stock Exchange AIM Market to trade these shares in the U.S.
