Applied Signal Technology, Inc. Selects New Director Of Business Development For Broadband Communication Systems

Applied Signal Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:APSG) (AST), a market leader in advanced intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) and cyber solutions, today announced the selection of Anthony J. Santino, Jr. as Director of Business Development for its Broadband Communication Systems division, effective October 11, 2010. Mr. Santino will report to the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, Joseph Leonelli, and will be responsible for developing and expanding the broadband communications business within the Intelligence Community and other U.S. Government agencies.

Mr. Santino joins AST from Hughes Network Systems, a global leader in broadband satellite networks and services, where he served as Senior Director of Programs. Mr. Santino has significant experience in the development and implementation of state-of-the-art technology and system solutions for the intelligence community.
