BroadVision Expands Beyond Enterprise 2.0 Networks With Launch Of Clearvale Ecosystems For HR

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. and CHICAGO, Sept. 29, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- HR Technology Conference – BroadVision (Nasdaq:BVSN), a pioneer in business cloud solutions, announced today that Clearvale(TM) Ecosystems for HR is now available, expanding beyond the typical enterprise 2.0 intranet model to reflect how business is truly done – across multiple public and private networks. HR professionals can now connect with candidates, colleagues, and partners in the cloud, and the service will soon be rolled out for other business functions and industries. BroadVision unveiled the solution today at the HR Technology Conference in Chicago.

Clearvale Ecosystems for HR is a fluid environment for administrators and employees to navigate seamlessly through the lifecycle of employment, from recruitment to new hire on-boarding. HR professionals can simultaneously manage public networks for job applicants, immigration lawyers and benefits brokers, alongside private networks for their global enterprise – all from one central, secure log-in. Features include the ability to:

  • Navigate through multiple Clearvale Networks from one central log-in
  • Upload documents and broadcast to one or multiple networks within an Ecosystem
  • Customize widgets to feature dynamic content from third party developers and social media, including Twitter
  • Decide who to follow and what to follow and receive notifications for activities pertinent to your content
  • Communicate via status messages within a network or a group, or through direct communication
  • Create blogs, wikis, discussion forums, and polls to accumulate and organize knowledge into folders and project groups
  • Search documents, discussions, and people across Clearvale Networks within an Ecosystem

" Clearvale Ecosystems for HR is a big step forward for BroadVision and its many customers who are looking for better, smarter ways to manage the employment lifecycle," said Dr. Pehong, founder and CEO of BroadVision. "It's no longer enough to have a network inside the enterprise. But a network of networks that enables you to manage, navigate and publish across public and private networks has immense value for many HR executives."

"We were looking for an enterprise 2.0 solution that recognizes the reality that business is best managed not on a single social network, but on a 'network of networks'," said Synaptics Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources Jim Harrington. "Some networks need to be open to the public – for example, networks for recruiting employees – and some need to remain private. By enabling us to easily create and stitch together any number of functional networks, BroadVision's Clearvale Ecosystems solution is enabling us to easily develop an enterprise 2.0 environment that reflects the way work actually gets done."

Using Clearvale, HR leads can promote job postings and customize widgets to convey a company's unique culture, without relying on a webmaster or IT department. Candidates can efficiently move through the interview process, update forms and maintain correspondence with companies in the same community. In an adjacent network, hiring committees can collaborate in the cloud by sharing interview feedback, taking polls, and weighing in on candidates each step of the way.

By increasing transparency within organizations, Clearvale empowers employees to share innovative ideas regardless of their level in the organization. Individuals can be recognized by other teams and departments, enabling collaborative thinking, promotion and retention.

More than 1,000 enterprises around the globe are already conducting business in over 4,000 networks in Clearvale – engaging with staff, partners, and customers in an open, navigable Web-based environment.
