ParkerVision CEO Jeffrey Parker Provides Corporate Update In Interview With The Wall Street Transcript

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Aug. 26, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ParkerVision, Inc. (Nasdaq:PRKR), a developer and marketer of semiconductor technology solutions for wireless applications, announced today that The Wall Street Transcript (TWST) has published an in-depth interview with Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Parker, in its Semiconductor Issue published on August 23, 2010. During the interview, in discussing the Company's d2p™, or direct-to-RF power technology, targeted initially at 3G mobile handsets, Mr. Parker noted that, "Our d2p technology processes complex 3G signals much more efficiently and, through our transmit technology alone, are able to increase talk times and data connectivity times in 3G handsets by up to 60%. This is an area where consumers are pretty vocal about wanting to see improvements, and many handset OEMs have been searching for products that enable their 3G handsets to consume less power during user operation. Our d2p is a very good technology for achieving that goal."

He went on to say that, "We have secured our first 3G mobile handset design win to be a supplier of RF chipsets to a significant handset OEM. We are not at liberty right now to disclose the name, but they are a leading handset OEM that's a customer of a baseband chipset partner that we have developed our RF chipset in concert with.

"We have had the good fortune of partnering up with a baseband company who has three of the top five handset OEMs in their customer base and a host of other very good handset OEMs outside of that top five as well. They've worked with us over the last two and a half years, and we have developed our RF chipset to seamlessly interface to their baseband processors.
