CHESTERFIELD, Mo., Aug. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Philippines President Benigno Aquino recently appointed Jolly Gomez, Reliv International's managing director of the Philippines, to the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), one of that nation's most important sports organizations.

Gomez, whose given name is Jose Luis Reyes Gomez, is prominent in Philippines sports circles for his role as an administrator for Little League Philippines, which sponsors youth baseball and softball games.Gomez is one of three new PSC commissioners appointed by President Aquino. The other new PSC commissioners are Salvador "Buddy" Andrada, former head of the Philippine tennis association, and Baseball Philippines head Joaquin "Chito" Loyzaga. Ritchie Garcia, a former PSC commissioner, was named chairman of the commission.
