Christopher Clawson Returns To Life Fitness As President

LAKE FOREST, Ill., Aug. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Brunswick Corporation (NYSE: BC) announced today that fitness industry veteran Christopher E. Clawson will return to Life Fitness as its president.  Clawson will report to Brunswick Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dustan E. McCoy.

Clawson most recently served as chief executive officer and president of Johnson Health Tech – North America.  Prior to joining Johnson in 2007, Clawson had been vice president of marketing and business development for Stamina Products.  Clawson has spent more than 25 years in the fitness industry, the majority of which have been with Life Fitness, where he held a number of positions of increasing responsibility within the product and marketing arena, eventually serving as vice president sales and marketing – consumer.

Clawson has his MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management as well as his baccalaureate from San Diego State University.  He also attended Newman University in Wichita, Kan., where he was an Academic All-American in baseball, and is a member of its athletic hall of fame.  Before joining the fitness industry, Clawson was a professional athlete, playing for the minor league organizations of both the Houston Astros and Atlanta Braves.
