NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Here's what Jim Cramer had to say about some of the stocks that callers offered up during the "Mad Money Lightning Round" Friday evening.

VMware (VMW): "This one is on fire, but when they're this hot, they sometimes get hammered, and that means we wait for it to settle down, then you want to buy it."

Skechers USA (SKX): "We believe in the show bull market. This stock is good. This is an inexpensive stock."

Cubic (CUB): "I've always liked Cubic. I think its terrific."

Chesapeake Energy (CHK): "I say buy the preferred shares. What's not to like?"
