Energy Financial Management Solution Attains Microsoft Dynamics Certification

WellPoint Systems Inc., (TSX-V:WPS), provider of software and solutions designed to transform complex data into business insight for oil and gas industry executives announces its Energy Financial Management (EFM) product has attained Certified for Microsoft Dynamics status (CFMD).

The ‘Certified for Microsoft Dynamics’ (CFMD) program was created by Microsoft to assist its customers in identifying technically sound and proven products that integrate with the Dynamics suite of products. CFMD status is the highest level of certification Microsoft assigns and due to the rigorous requirements only a few out of thousands of available products have achieved certification. The CFMD certification helps customers validate the quality of WellPoint’s EFM solution and will assist WellPoint’s efforts to recruit reselling partners.

“By requiring both the software solution and the partner to meet our highest standards, Microsoft is assuring customers that these certified solutions work with their investments in Microsoft Dynamics,” said Doug Kennedy, vice president, Microsoft Dynamics Partners. “Microsoft congratulates WellPoint Systems on achieving the Certified for Microsoft Dynamics status for Energy Financial Management by demonstrating its success and commitment in delivering a leading Microsoft Dynamics solution.”

“WellPoint recognizes the importance of the CFMD program and how it opens doors for our solutions,” said Richard Slack, President and CEO of WellPoint Systems. “We continue to build our products to Microsoft’s stringent standards and our customers have responded very positively to our efforts. Since Microsoft focuses the majority of available marketing efforts at the CFMD products, we look forward to the resulting opportunities the CFMD designation will bring to WellPoint Systems.”

Energy Financial Management, a component of WellPoint’s Energy Suite of products, manages division of interest (DOI), joint interest billing (JVB) and approval for expenditure (AFE) processes critical to the upstream oil and gas industry. WellPoint is also the only Dynamics partner selected to participate in Microsoft’s Upstream Energy Reference Architecture initiative; an industry-based effort sponsored by Microsoft to identify and design a set of integration and information standards. With a CFMD product designation, WellPoint further solidifies its place as the global energy industry expert for Microsoft Dynamics.
