West Names Vice President, Strategic Planning And Business Development

West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. (NYSE: WST), the global leader in innovative system and component solutions for injectable drug administration, today announced that Jeffrey C. Hunt has joined the company as Vice President, Strategic Planning and Business Development. Mr. Hunt will report to Donald E. Morel, Jr., Ph.D., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

“Jeff has a proven record of developing and implementing strategic initiatives that have significantly grown revenues in the business units he has managed,” said Dr. Morel. “His experience and knowledge in the medical device markets will serve West well as we look to expand our product portfolio to provide innovative solutions for our global customers.”

Mr. Hunt was most recently President of the Patient Care and Safety Products Global Business Unit of Covidien, Mansfield, Mass. In that position, he was responsible for the strategy, finance and operations of the $1.4 billion business unit comprised of 29 businesses.

Prior to that, he served as Vice President and General Manager of the SharpSafety Division of Tyco Healthcare/Kendall and as Marketing Director of the Patient Care Division of Sherwood-Davis & Geck.

Mr. Hunt earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from New York State University College, Brockport, N.Y.
