Law Offices Of Howard G. Smith Announces Investigation On Behalf Of Shareholders Of Almost Family, Inc.

Law Offices of Howard G. Smith announces that it is investigating potential claims on behalf of purchasers of the securities of Almost Family, Inc. (“Almost Family” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ:AFAM) concerning possible violations of federal securities laws between August 5, 2009 and June 30, 2010.

Almost Family, together with its subsidiaries, provides home health services in the United States. The Company provides a range of Medicare-certified home health nursing services to patients in need of recuperative care, specialty programs such as frail elderly care management, and various other in-home services including personal care, medication management, meal preparation and caregiver respite on an as-needed, hourly, or live-in basis.

The investigation focuses on allegations that certain statements made by the Company during this period concerning the Company’s business and operations were materially false and/or misleading. On July 1, 2010, Almost Family announced it received a civil subpoena for documents and notice of investigation from the Securities and Exchange Commission seeking documents related to the Company’s home health care services and operations, including reimbursements under the Medicare home health prospective payment system, since January 1, 2000.

If you purchased shares of Almost Family between August 5, 2009 and June 30, 2010, if you have information or would like to learn more about these claims, or if you wish to discuss these matters or have any questions concerning this announcement or your rights or interests with respect to these matters, please contact Howard G.
