Mobile Mini Expands Into Three New Markets Offering Portable Storage And Mobile Offices In Omaha, Norfolk/ Virginia Beach And Washington, D.C.
Mobile Mini, Inc. (NasdaqGS: MINI), the world’s leading provider of portable storage solutions, announced that it has opened locations in three new markets – Omaha, NE; Norfolk/Virginia Beach, VA and Washington, D.C., to serve all types of customers, including educational and medical institutions, retailers, distributors, construction firms, consumers, and governmental agencies including the military.
These markets are in reasonable proximity to existing Mobile Mini locations facilitating the redeployment of Mobile Mini’s highly differentiated storage and office products which encompass nearly 100 configurations to accommodate virtually every customer’s portable storage and mobile office requirements in terms of size, layout and functionality. Commenting, Steven Bunger, Mobile Mini’s Chairman, President & CEO noted, “We reviewed the demographics, economic climate, competive dynamics and business opportunity in each of these markets and liked what we saw. Omaha, the largest city in Nebraska, is the home to a number of Fortune 500 companies, along with a wide variety of other corporations, eleven universities and colleges, Offit Air Force base and world class medical centers.” He continued, “This new initiative will continue to strengthen our market penetration on the East Coast. Our newest location in Virginia serves the Norfolk and Virginia Beach markets. With miles of riverfront and bayfront land, Norfolk is home to the world's largest naval base and the defense headquarters of NATO. Natually shipbuilding and repair, both defense and commercial, along with the region’s cargo ports are major employers, as are several Fortune 500 companies. Virginia Beach is best known for tourism including conventions but the military and agribusiness sectors are also important contributors to its economy. Finally, as our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. is home to three branches of government and with a population of 5.3 million, the greater Washington metropolitan area ranks as the ninth largest in the country.” Mr. Bunger concluded, “As the nation emerges from the protracted recession, our portable storage and office solutions enable employers to take smaller steps forward to rebuild their enterprises, without taking on much in the way of fixed costs and permanent space. After several years of consolidation, I am delighted that we are once again entering new markets. We are excited to contribute to the local recovery of the economy by hiring talented employees and redeploying existing fleet to customers in these three new markets."TheStreet Premium Services
