Implant Sciences Announces Air Cargo Screening Pilot Program

Implant Sciences Corporation (OTCPK:IMSC), a high technology supplier of systems and sensors for homeland security and defense markets, today announced the inception of a pilot program supported by East Coast Airport Services (ECAS) which provides a broad and diverse range of services to the aviation industry including air cargo screening services. The program will be conducted in ECAS’s air cargo screening facilities at Boston Logan International Airport. The agreement to conduct the pilot program was facilitated by the Port Authority of Massachusetts (Massport) who introduced Implant Sciences and its technologies to ECAS and other stakeholders in aviation, seaport, and transportation infrastructure security.

“This program will allow for the collection of key operational data in the fast paced real-world of air cargo screening. This will offer critical insight to the Company and its customers as they develop effective and efficient operational protocols to satisfy the requirements of US Public Law 110-53 ‘‘Implementing Recommendations of the 9/11 Commission Act of 2007,”” said Todd Silvestri, Vice President of Technology for Implant Sciences. Silvestri added, “This pilot program, combined with ongoing verification and validation activities and the recent Department of Homeland Security SAFETY Act designation of the Quantum Sniffer as a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology, will help to ensure the Company’s success in Air Cargo Screening markets.”
